This section introduces a research product offered by Knotell, a marketing company based in the Kingdom of Swaziland. Most of the content on this website was gathered using the research product.
Knotell Omnibus Survey is a marketing research product of Knotell developed to be a multipurpose survey that delivers quick reliable results while being very cost effective. It is a reliable way of obtaining information on a variety of topics too brief to warrant a survey of their own. The survey is done monthly (within Swaziland) and questionnaires on each omnibus survey are charged on a per question basis. The questionnaire space buyer (our client) is required to provide the question(s) to be administered and then our Research Consultants assists in producing a quotation.

The costs
The final cost to the client varies according to the number of questions and Swazi based target groups selected and whether show cards are required. The data is randomly collected from a panel of respondents located in the designated survey areas (within Swaziland boundaries). These are normally given cash and voucher incentives for their responses.
Reports produced from the Knotell Omnibus Survey are standard i.e. they are only table based, no graphical representations are made and commentary by the researchers is shortened. The value of the report is in showing the data and allowing clients to deduce whatever information they need from it.
The Knotell Omnibus Survey has three Swaziland designated survey areas that form the basis for developing the sampling design.
1.The Corridor Survey Area (CSA), which covers the Ngwenya - Manzini Corridor and areas within 20km from the main highway. (This is known to be the economically active part of Swaziland).
2.The Key Towns and Cities Survey Area (KTC), which covers the two cities(Mbabane and Manzini) and major towns in Swaziland. The standard areas include Mbabane, Piggs-peak, Manzini, Mankayane, Siteki, Big-bend, Nhlangano and Hlathikhulu.
3.The National Survey Area (NSA), which divides the four administrative districts of Swaziland (Hhohho, Manzini, Shiselweni and Lubombo)into urban, semi-urban and rural areas.
Knotell Omnibus Survey has many uses and value to marketers and media professionals based in Swaziland and internationally. (1) It provides a quick overview of the Swazi market and provides critical information quicker and much cheaper than a conventional survey. (2) Marketers can use the information for market planning, brand development and increasing market penetration in specific areas of the kingdom. (3)It also helps in analyzing Swaziland's consumer trends over a given period. For example, by asking the same question on customer satisfaction every month, you can be in a position to see how your marketing effort is being received in the market over a given period.
A conventional survey could cost +E10 000 for questionnaire development, fieldwork, data entry and processing. In addition, it could take time and exhaust your limited resources. This is because you are paying for all the costs incurred but with the Knotell Omnibus Survey's cost sharing structure, you can ask as little as 1 question, pay as little as E100 and still get the benefit of a professionally undertaken survey.
The space is sold like in newspaper classifieds i.e. on a per word basis. Charges are levied on each word of the question and not on the answering space/option and instructions.
A report based on the specific demographics/target groups is produced at an additional cost. Contact our Marketing Executive or enquire here
