The classification are made based on the SME unit business categories i.e. (a) a Micro business being one with assets under E50,000, employees between 1 - 3 and annual turn over of up to E50,000 (b) a small business being one with assets that ranges between E50,001 - E2 million, having employees between 4 - 10 and a turnover of up to E3million per annum (c) medium business being one that has assets ranging between E2million - E5million, employees between 11 - 50 people and annual turnover of up to E8 million. Any business ranging above any of these is classified as a big or corporate.
